V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has the ability to process beyond 2000 Traps/sec. It has a configurable in-built mechanism to detect Alarm Storms with capabilities to escalate the alarm from an NE to its highest node on the Tree view and Google maps, apart from sending E-mails and SMS to the assigned operators.
Active Alarms
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax enables the operators to instantly know all Events and Alarms in the system on refresh. All unresolved Alarms are shown to the user in an elegant and user friendly format, which includes the first and last occurrence time along with the number of occurrences.
Severity Indication
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax follows ITU-X.733 standards to represent the Alarm in the Alarm Window. Alarms are categorized from Critical to Infrastructure for ease of identification. Critical Alarms are popped-up on all pages to draw operator's attention.
Live Alarm Monitoring
Apart from the snapshot view of the alarms, V-EMS for Mobile WiMax facilitates monitoring of alarms in Real-Time of the entire domain. All Raised and Cleared Alarms are propagated to the Live Alarm Monitoring window of the client in Real-Time. Operator has a choice on applying a filter on the NE and Severity Level.
Alarm Filtering
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has the ability to apply various filters on the NE and Severity Type. Its configurable pagination mechanism ensures that the Alarm window is always Light weight.
Alarm Escalation
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has the mechanism of escalating the Alarms to its highest node in terms of color representation. It can also be configured to send E-mail and SMS on receipt of an Alarm. Besides, it has capabilities to forward the Traps to its Primary and Secondary NMS as Enterprise Specific Traps.
Alarm Resolution
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has extensive user-defined Alarm resolution feature. Resolutions on an Alarm is readily available on click of an Alarm from the Alarm window. Alarm Resolutions can be configured and saved by the Administrator.
Alarm Reporting
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has exhaustive Reporting Mechanism to export the Alarms in CSV and PDF Formats. It includes various filters on date, NE and Severity Type. Generated Reports can also be directed to a Printer.
Storm Handling
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax comes with a configurable mechanism to detect Alarm Storms from an NE. Storming NEs are blacklisted and subsequently informed to the operator apart from the Primary and Secondary NMS through EMS generated Traps. The Blacklisted NEs are Whitelisted with manual intervention whenever the operator clears the Alarm.
Acknowledging and Clearing Alarms
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax has the feature of Acknowledging and clearing Alarms by the operator. An Alarm Acknowledged or Cleared by one operator is concurrently transmitted to all other operators. The Acknowledged Alarms can also be Re-Acknowledged by another operator.
Alarm History
V-EMS for Mobile WiMax facilitates Alarm History feature, where all cleared Alarms are Archieved for alarm correlation and historical reference. The size of the Archieved Alarm is Configurable. Various trend charts can be launched for an alarm on an NE. Filters on Date, NE and Severity Type are also available.
