Element management System
A pilot project built on service model wherein Valency provided Man Power to build Element Management System through Core Java, JMX Framework and Java Swing for constructing an easy-to-use interface and build an ASN-GW in C that facilitate service flow creation. The Element Management System featured basic FCAPS functionality comprising device Configuration, Alarm Monitoring and Management, QoS Management, Inventory Management, Firmware Upgradation, and Performance reporting.
The GUI was completely built through XML and Java Swing so to reduce the cost of coding and main consistency through out.

File Mining and Virtualization
A pilot project built on service model that features customers to leverage the integration of the built model and Data Domain’s line of deduplication storage systems for a comprehensive tiered storage solution that significantly decreases the storage costs.

Valency Web Development Works
“Attune systems employed Valency Systems to provide file system statistics and usage reports feature to its Maestro File Manager product. During about one year of engagement, Valency Systems has made three code deliveries on schedule. With the exception of data collection, data acquisition and product integration, Valency Systems is responsible for the entire design and implementation of: inserting collected file system usage and statistics data into a SQL database, designing the SQL database schema, writing SQL queries to retrieve data based on selection criteria, generating PDF reports, displaying the data selection criteria and reports using a Java based interface. The reporting feature delivered by Valency Systems has shown to work with file servers with total size close to 100TB (and we expect it to scale up further). Originally, only two engineers from Valency Systems were employed. It was later expanded to four engineers once Valency System has demonstrated its product development skills and its ability to meet our aggressive schedule. We have further plan to continue using Valency Systems in other areas.

Tom joined Attune Systems with more than 25 years of engineering and management experience in both early-stage and established technology companies. Prior to joining Attune, Tom founded Frezweb.com, a Web2.0 file system technology company. Previously, he was the co-founder and VP of Engineering at NeoPath Networks, a file virtualization vendor, where he built and led the NeoPath Engineering function from the ground-up, delivering alpha, beta and two successful product launches on schedule. He has also worked in various engineering and management capacities at Ingrian Systems, Sun Microsystems, Healtheon/WebMD, Tandem Computers, and Wang Laboratories. At Ingrian Systems, Tom designed and implemented the switching software for the Ingrian Level 7 Secure Content Switch appliance. At Sun Microsystems, Tom was the project lead in the SunOS file system (ufs) group and also wrote the CDROM file system (hsfs) for SunOS and Solaris. He was also a project editor for the European Computer Manufacturers Association TC 15 committee and a project editor for the International Standards Organization SC 15 committee (ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC15). Tom wrote the European Standard (ECMA 168) and the International Standard (ISO/IEC 13490) on recordable compact disk format. In addition, he has 21 U.S. patents issued along with ten published U.S. Patent applications in the file system and computer networking areas. Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and engineering from M.I.T. and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from the Wang Institute at Boston University.
